The rules of the service

Terms of Use

The agreement that applies when you create an account or use Showcase.

Version 1.0 — effective 16 July 2026

1. Acceptance

These Terms form an agreement between you and Arthur Vella, publisher of Showcase. By creating an account or using the app, you confirm that you have read and accepted them together with the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use Showcase.

2. Age and eligibility

You must be at least 15 years old to use Showcase and legally able to enter this agreement. If local law requires parental permission despite that minimum age, you must obtain it. You may not use the service if your account has been permanently removed for a serious breach unless Showcase authorises a return.

3. Your account

  • Provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
  • Keep your credentials and device secure. Tell support promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Use one person’s identity per personal account and do not impersonate another person, artist, venue or organisation.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless it resulted from a failure attributable to Showcase.

4. What Showcase provides

Showcase lets users document live events, publish ratings and reviews, attach Memories, interact with others and create personal rankings. Features may evolve, be tested, interrupted or removed as the product develops. During beta testing, availability and data continuity cannot be guaranteed.

5. Your content and licence

You keep ownership of content you create. You grant Showcase a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical formats, display and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure and promote the functionality of the service. This licence ends when the content or account is deleted, except where a limited copy must be retained for legal, safety or backup reasons.

  • Only upload content you created or have permission to use.
  • Make sure people shown in a Memory can lawfully be recorded and shared.
  • Do not upload full concert recordings or other material that infringes performers’, venues’ or rights holders’ rights.

6. Prohibited conduct and content

  • Harassment, threats, hate speech or degrading attacks based on a protected characteristic.
  • Sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual content involving minors, or attempts to groom or endanger a minor.
  • Graphic violence, credible threats, promotion of self-harm, terrorism or dangerous illegal acts.
  • Doxxing, unauthorised personal data, impersonation, fraud, spam, manipulation or malicious links.
  • Copyright or other intellectual-property infringement.
  • Attempts to bypass access controls, disrupt the service, scrape it at scale or misuse another person’s account.

7. Memories review

Photos and videos may be held privately for human review before appearing to other users. The review itself can be visible without its Memories. Showcase may approve or reject a complete batch. Rejected files are deleted and cannot be resubmitted in this first version. Approval does not transfer ownership and does not mean Showcase endorses the content.

8. Reports, blocks and moderation

You can report content or accounts and block users from within the app. Showcase aims to assess reports within 24 hours, prioritising urgent safety matters, but this is an operational target rather than a guaranteed response time. We may hide or remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, or contact authorities when justified by the circumstances and applicable law.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Showcase support is not an emergency service.

9. Ending use of Showcase

You can delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risks, legal requirements or misuse of the service. Where appropriate, we will consider context and proportionality. Clauses that by nature should survive termination, including legal claims and limited safety records, remain effective.

10. Third-party services

Showcase may rely on Apple, Google, Deezer and infrastructure providers. Their own terms and availability may apply to their services. Artist information or imagery supplied by third parties remains subject to the relevant rights and may be corrected or removed.

11. Availability and responsibility

We work to provide a reliable service but cannot promise that Showcase will always be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to mandatory consumer law, Showcase is not responsible for indirect loss or for content, conduct or services controlled by third parties.

12. Changes

We may update the app and these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice in the app or by another appropriate channel. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply; where consent is legally required, we will ask for it.

13. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. Disputes may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. Contact: support@showcaseapp.fr.
